Johnson County Great Give Day Raises $80K For Local Nonprofits
Together, our community raised $80,912 in just one day to support our local nonprofit organizations! On Wednesday, May 7th, local nonprofit organizations came together to celebrate the third annual Johnson County Great Give Day. Great Give Day is a collective day of giving, where donors are encouraged to learn more about new-to-them nonprofit organizations, the work of the nonprofit sector in Johnson County, and make gifts to support local philanthropy. Our local nonprofits work diligently every day to make Johnson County the best place to live, give, work, grow, and play. Thanks to our community’s generosity, our nonprofits can continue to do their essential work.
This year on Johnson County Great Give Day, the Community Foundation held a match for gifts made to the CFJC’s Community Impact Fund. The Community Impact Fund supports our competitive grantmaking cycles which help finance critical projects — from capacity building to direct service needs — for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations across all sectors of our community. We appreciate the donors who participated in Great Give Day by making a gift to our Community Impact Fund, or to one of our partner organizations. We also appreciate those who give their support through volunteerism, sharing the mission and work of local organizations, and sharing their appreciation for local nonprofits.
Johnson County Great Give Day is powered by the Community Foundation, but the day is a celebration of the work of nonprofits and donors across the county. We look forward to celebrating Johnson County Great Give Day with you again on May 6, 2026!
