Coralville Community Fund Grants

Purpose

The Coralville Community Fund was launched in 2006 to build, invest, and distribute funds for local nonprofit projects that impact Coralville residents.  By pooling the resources of many individual gifts and building an endowment fund, the Coralville Community Fund will support a broad range of existing and future charitable projects in the community forever.

The Coralville Community Fund 2024 Grant Cycle will support 501(c)3 organizations located in or significantly serving Coralville, Iowa as well as requests from the City of Coralville. The maximum request amount will be $10,000 and requests will be limited to one application per organization. Grant Process and Timeline

Applications are submitted via our online grant system.

The application period opens on March 1, 2025 and closes at 11:59 pm on March 24, 2025.  All applications will be reviewed by a community selection committee and applicants will be notified of the decision in late April.

Grant awardees will be required to submit a follow-up report on the use of funds by June 30, 2026. Reporting is also completed through the online grant system.

Eligibility Requirements
  • 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, Municipality, and/or the Iowa City Community School District
  • Located in or significantly serving Coralville, IA

 

Ineligible for Funding
  • Deficit funding or debt retirement
  • Direct financial support to individuals
  • Political or lobbying activities
  • Projects that are not for a charitable purpose
  • Projects or events that have already been completed
  • Religious or sectarian activities that attempt to convert a person to a particular faith or perspective, or social service activities that require participation in such
  • Organizations or activities which do not comply with our nondiscrimination and diversity policy
