Speaker Bios

Isaac Appel

“Isaac Appel is a third-year law student at the University of Iowa College of Law. Originally from Indianola Iowa, he earned his undergraduate degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and gained hands-on experience through a semester in the Immigration Clinic. He currently clerks for Causey & Ye, specializing in immigration law and policy. After law school, he will clerk for Chief Justice Christensen on the Iowa Supreme Court.”

Tristan Verghese

“Tristan Verghese is a third-year law student at the University of Iowa College of Law. Originally from El Paso, Texas, he earned his undergraduate degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and spent two semesters in the Immigration Clinic assisting clients with legal matters. After law school, he will join Faegre Drinker in Denver as part of the real estate litigation practice group.”
