Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Food with Love Project Fund was able to award $20,000 to local organizations working to address food insecurity.

The Food with Love Project Fund was established in 2020 to support an emergency food relief program that matched community need with professional chefs and hospitality experts who were looking for ways to help while their restaurants were closed. The Fund activated again in June of 2023 for a community-wide fundraiser to support our local food pantries.

This summer, as area organizations are working together to address rising food insecurity levels in our community, the CFJC re-activated the fund to provide four $5,000 operating support grants. Grants were awarded to the following organizations:

  • CommUnity Crisis Services
  • Coralville Community Food Pantry
  • North Liberty Community Pantry
  • Table to Table

The Community Foundation of Johnson County is deeply grateful for our donors and the grantee organizations for their to ensure food access for our neighbors.
