The Community Foundation of Johnson County has opened a new grant application through our Inclusive Johnson County Fund. The Inclusive Johnson County Fund was established in 2020. Since then, it has provided support for the annual Iowa City Juneteenth Celebration, provided two scholarships for minority participation in the Iowa City Business Partnership’s Community Leadership Program, and the staff of the Community Foundation has worked on creating and improving both internal and external processes to increase transparency and support inclusion in all areas of our work.
The Inclusive Johnson County Fund will be awarding up to $20,000 total in grants that support nonprofit organizations who are serving Johnson County residents in a manner that promotes, supports, and enhances diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout Johnson County. The grant eligibility requirements and details can be found here.
The fund is open for donations and additional monies raised will be added to the grantmaking pool. Gifts can be made directly to the fund here.
