Swisher Community Fund Grants Over $3,200 in Local Projects
The Swisher Community Fund awarded its 2025 grant awards, providing support to three local organizations whose projects will directly benefit the Swisher community. This year’s grant cycle marked the official return of the fund, which was originally established in 2005 and relaunched in 2025 by a new advisory committee to provide annual funding to projects that strengthen and enrich Swisher.
The 2025 grant recipients are:
- North Liberty Community Pantry – Food for Swisher Residents ($782)
- Purpose: to support expanded access to food for families in Swisher
- Miracles in Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Center – Adaptive Riding: Equine-Assisted Therapy ($1,000)
- Purpose: to support equine-assisted therapy programs that promote healing, confidence, and community wellness
- Swisher City Parks and Recreation – Swisher Park Concession Stand ($1,500)
- Purpose: to enhance amenities at Swisher Park and improve community gathering spaces

The Community Foundation of Johnson County is proud to hold the Swisher Community Fund. The Swisher Community Fund provides grant support to nonprofit organizations working to promote community wellness, education, environmental sustainability, public spaces, and meaningful local engagement in and around Swisher, IA. The next grant application cycle will open in early 2026, with more details announced later this year.
