Celebrating a Commitment to Giving Through the Community Foundation

The Community Foundation of Johnson County is excited to announce the awarding of the inaugural Partners in Philanthropy Grant. Donors Patrick and Amanda Gavin reached an incredible milestone in their commitment to giving through the Community Foundation and the CFJC Board of Directors chose to celebrate that milestone by creating the Partners in Philanthropy Grant.

In recognition of their generosity and commitment to giving through the Community Foundation, the CFJC Board of Directors awarded a $10,000 grant to the charity of the Gavins’ choice. The Gavins, in their true selfless and generous nature, doubled the impact of the grant being made in their name by matching it! The $20,000 Partners in Philanthropy Grant was awarded to Houses Into Homes this past week as a celebration of the milestone the Gavins reached in their charitable giving through the Community Foundation.

“We are so grateful to the Gavins for their generous support of our community, and we felt there was no better way to express that gratitude than through a grant made to the nonprofit of their choice,” stated Charlie Nusser, Community Foundation Board President. The Gavins are one of many generous families who give charitably through the Community Foundation of Johnson County.
