Three Scholarship Opportunities Open

The Community Foundation of Johnson County is pleased to announce the opening of three scholarship applications for Johnson County seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education in the fall of 2022. The CFJC hosts multiple scholarship funds which were opened by generous donors with the intent of assisting students achieve their post-secondary education.

Three scholarships are currently available for applications: the Ada Woo and William Ching Endowed Fund Scholarship, the First Baptist Church Scholarship, and the Niles Schreiber Endowed Scholarship.

The Ada Woo and William Ching Endowed Fund Scholarship is a $500 one-time award, designed to assist first-generation college/university students who are pursuing a degree in a STEM field. The First Baptist Church Scholarship is a one-time $3,750 award, designed to assist senior high school students who are pursuing a degree in Education from a post-secondary institution in the state of Iowa. The Niles Schreiber Endowed Scholarship is two $1,000 one-time awards, designed to assist students interested in trade schools and technical programs in Iowa.

The deadline for applications for all scholarships will be March 13, 2022 by 5pm. Additional eligibility information, details on the awards, and application forms can be found at the link below.
