Emergency Response Fund – Tornado Relief

Our hearts go out to our neighbors in need during this critical time. The Community Foundation of Johnson County has opened our Emergency Response Fund to assist with relief and recovery efforts due to the recent severe weather which has impacted many communities across Johnson County. 100% of gifts made to the fund will support grants to local nonprofit organizations providing services to those impacted by severe weather. Emergency Response Grant Information

Purpose

The Community Foundation of Johnson County opened our Emergency Response Fund on April 1st in response to the severe weather and tornadoes which impacted our communities. The Emergency Response Fund Grants are available to support local nonprofit organizations, schools, and units of government who are supporting the immediate and emergent needs of those impacted by the severe weather.

 

Eligibility

Grant Applicants must..

  • be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, school, or unit of government
  • be located in or significantly serving Johnson County
  • apply for funding for use in addressing immediate and emergent needs due to severe weather damage

 

Timeline & Other Grant Details
  • Grants will be made on a rolling basis – the application will remain open until funds are exhausted and/or needs are fulfilled
  • Grants do not have a maximum request amount
    • Please provide amount requested based on need in the next 6 weeks from application date
  • Grant applications which focus on immediate needs of those impacted will be prioritized
