The Community Foundation of Johnson County hosts multiple scholarship funds. These funds were established by generous donors with the intent of assisting students in achieving their post-secondary education goals.

About
The Abner Masonic Lodge Endowed Scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 award designed to assist students who are leaders in their community in continuing their education in 2-year or 4-year colleges or universities, skilled trade, or certificate programs. This application includes an essay on leadership and service.

The Ada Woo and William Ching Endowed Scholarship is a one-time, $2,000 award designed to assist first-generation college/university students who are pursuing a degree in a STEM field. This application includes an essay on the impact these funds will have.

The First Baptist Church Scholarship is a one-time, $2,000 award designed to assist senior high school students who are pursuing a degree in Education from a post-secondary institution in the state of Iowa. There will be two, $2,000 scholarships awarded this year.

The Greater Iowa City Area Scholarship is a one-time, $2,500 award designed to assist senior high school students who are pursuing post-secondary education at a college or university, a trade school program, or obtaining a certification. The application includes two essays on goals and challenges. There are multiple awards available this year.

The Niles Schreiber Endowed Scholarship is a one-time award designed to assist senior high school students at Southeast Warren High School or Clear Creek Amana High School planning to continue their education in Iowa. There will be multiple scholarships awarded this year with $2,000 per scholarship. The application includes a financial essay and a personal essay.

The Outstanding Youth in Agriculture Scholarship is a one-time, $2,500 award designed to support students who have shown leadership and interest in agriculture and who will continue to study and/or work in a field related to agriculture.
